This mesmerizing installation, called the Hope Tree, was presented at Tokyo Design Week, an event held from October 29th till November 3rd in Tokyo. The incredible installation was designed by the 24° Studio and constructed in a 20 square meters shipping container. The authors got their inspiration from a tree, a source of material for a number of things we use on a day-to-day basis, from paper to construction material. The paper tree construction was built within the container in a way that the tree top arches over and comes down the walls. The paper sensation was created from 670 paper elements with cut-through slits shaped as leaves. To achieve an even more impressive atmosphere, the architects put LED lights throughout the container so that light shines through the slits.
