‘Tebe Interesno’ is the street name of Dmitry Maximov, a Russian artist renowned for his photo manipulations. This Moscow-based designer and illustrator, who hasn’t updated his work in a while now, at first glance evokes Banksy’s work with his digital interventions and illustrations, albeit with a significant detachment. He throws otherworldly characters into the dimensions of our worldly reality, often lonely and lost, what concurs with Banksy’s view of the world we live in.
In addition to alien beings, he also shows familiar animals and objects in surreal fantasy scenarios, with a substantial dose of humor and sensibility for urban isolation and paranoia. Creative work, humane, despite its lack of humanoids – which is precisely what makes it attractive in an unusual way.
