All interested advertising agencies from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro this way have the chance to show their best showcases and campaigns in front of large audience including advertisers and other visitors at the Weekend and the professionals and the media. All submitted projects will be screened continuously in a special hall at the festival place, in rotation.

Although BalCannes  is not primarily a competition, agencies, whose projects are selected among the 25 best quality and that stand out from others according to expert jury of journalists specialized in the ad industry, will have the opportunity to personally present the project on the main stage at the festival’s the best period and will be handed a special certificate. Each project can be presented to a maximum of 5 minutes, to the audience. Agencies may apply to the contest their projects that are published several times in one or more different media in one or more countries from the period of May 1^st 2010 till May 1^st 2012. BalCannes applications are open from June 20^th till September 10^th.

Fifth Weekend Media Festival, the largest regional communications Festival will be held this year from September 20^th to 23^rd, in the area of the old tobacco factory in Rovinj. Bigger than ever, provocative and exciting, the fifth consecutive year Weekend brings together local and regional media, marketing and PR professionals. Last year, Weekend Media Festival hosted more than 3500 participants from the Croatian regions and countries, as well as visitors from Europe, America and Japan, among whom there were about 400 accredited journalists and more than 120 speakers and panelists from across the region.
