We’re counting the days till Thursday and it’s high time to present you with our Comeandcheck.it LIVE snowbusters that we’ll be presenting in a couple of days at the Vip Club. A good deal of our plans has been swept away by the snow along with the majority of Croatia, so maybe our first live edition will be somewhat different then was first planned. If we don’t rise to the occasion feel free to throw snowballs at us.

Comeandcheck.it LIVE’s program mission is to provide a real time space and place to all individuals, teams, groups, praiseworthy initiatives, ideas, concepts, themes and issues worth discussing.

As we announced, in the first Comeandcheck.itLIVE – promoting young creative personalities, the format implies presenting three individuals or teams, under the working name 3 POSTS/GUESTS FILL THE BILL.

Our first Thursday, February 9th, 8:30 PM, marks our launching, but also that of our first guests, designers and artists who had their big break media-wise on the Comeandcheck.it platform. On Thursday two duos are set to present themselves, Karlo Kazinoti and Mišo Komenda along with Jaša Zelmanović and Jelena Azinović.

Karlo Kazinoti and Mišo Komenda are Split-based designers and musicians, and you, dear Comeandcheck.it readers, surely know them as you’re precisely the ones who selected their work as best on our first competition for the Realize.it Planner powered by Comeandcheck.it. We’re sure that Karlo and Mišo have loads of groupies, both due to their respective music and design careers, so keep your fingers crossed that the roads from Dalmatia are snow-free so our guys can arrive safely from Split.

Karlo and Mišo will present their joint and individual design works, and we’re especially pleased to note that the Realize.it Planner was their first joint collaboration.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see what a creative collaboration of authors who graduated from different Croatian Schools of Design looks like; namely, Karlo graduated from the Zagreb School of Design, while Mišo is a graduate of Visual Communications from the University of Split Arts Academy.

In addition to the field of design, these two also collaborate in music, both play in the Leut Magnetik band, but also collaborate on other various music-based projects, but more on all that at Comeandcheck.it LIVE! Sculptress Jelena Azinović and graphic designer Jaša Zelmanović are the winners of our second competition which ultimately turned out to be a highly controversial topic. You assume correctly, it’s Plupa – The Rijeka Bench – the project with which the designers stirred up so much controversy over among the design and architecture critique circles due to their simple, smart and recognizable ready-made solution.

Jelena and Jaša won’t be touting how their Plupa rocks, they’ll elaborate their vision in terms of their brave answers to the competition’s tasks as well as how a sculptress and a graphic designer manage to find work just after graduating college. In addition to the award-winning product design realization, the charming duo will acquaint you with the works of their primary professions.

Jelena will divulge her POV on how a sculpture is created through depicting her graduation work simply entitled “Graduation Thesis”. Jaša will present his projektBOOK, which emerged as a logical continuation of his graduation thesis. You can check out Jaša’s website: jasa.zelmanovic.com for more details, while Jelena’s website is still under construction.

We’ll be rounding up the first in a series of presentations regarding our various chosen trefoil of topics tied to our competitions by announcing the results of the InTech Competition for the design of transport packaging. The panel of judges will be deciding tomorrow, hence all those who submitted their works are hereby invited to come to the Vip Club to find out which works, as decided by the panel of judges, will be claiming awards.

In addition to the guests invited by us within the THREE POSTS/THREE GUESTS format, we’d very much appreciate that any and all creative personalities get in touch with us, whose “PR Departments” and Facebook spams still aren’t chugging full steam ahead so the whole world doesn’t know about them as yet, and they can envision their works on our cover and the slideshow on the Vip Club auditorium within the context of a certain Comeandcheck.itLIVE program.

Hence all interested creative personalities, architects, product, graphic and fashion designers, photographers, video artists, animators, illustrators and all other artists whose work fits into the concept of the Comeandcheck.it portal, are invited to send us they’re mini portfolio to: info@pogledaj.to

See you on Thursday, beginning at 8:30 PM at the Vip Club.
